The MULTHEM Final Conference & Industrial Workshop was held on October 28th, 2025, at Thales Research and Technology (1 Av. Augustin Fresnel, 91120 Palaiseau, France).

This full-day event marked the culmination of the European project MULTHEM, showcasing its achievements in continuous carbon fiber composites (FDM), aluminium alloy 3D printing (DED-wire), and composite/metal joining techniques such as Friction Stir Welding and Electron Beam Welding. These technologies were demonstrated through several industrial use cases, including casings for electric motors, electronic appliances, and batteries.

The event brought together leading experts from academia and industry to discuss the latest developments in multi-material additive manufacturing, joining of AM parts, and lightweighting strategies — celebrating the successful completion of the project and its real-world impact.
